Finding the perfect gift for a child isn't easy. It should bring joy, feel special — and ideally be meaningful too. That's exactly what Jolly Designs' handcrafted learning toys stand for.
Whether it's a gift for a birth, a christening, a first birthday, or the start of school: our fabric books, Travel Buddies and Calmi Cubes are Montessori-inspired, thoughtfully designed, and handcrafted with love. They build fine motor skills, concentration, and independent learning — and grow with your child for years.
With our personalization, any toy becomes a gift with real meaning. And if you're still not sure: with a gift card, you can't go wrong.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's on your mind?
Jolly Designs was founded in 2017 by Nishtha Jolly — with the vision of creating high-quality, thoughtfully designed toys that truly support children's development, instead of ending up in the trash after a short time. Today, we're one of the first and largest Quiet Book brands in Europe, with over 60,000 happy customers and more than 6,700 reviews. We believe in craftsmanship, in educational care, and in the idea that good toys don't have to be loud to make an impact.
Three things: first, the craftsmanship. Every page, every flap, every activity is hand-sewn. Second, the educational depth. We develop our products together with a team of paediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators, so that every activity is meaningful. Third, the longevity. Our products aren't disposable toys. They accompany children for years and are often passed down to siblings or friends.
We've been manufacturing our products in India since we started, in a family-run workshop that belongs to our founder Nishtha Jolly's own family. So this isn't some anonymous supplier relationship, it's a personal one: Nishtha knows the workers by name, their families, their stories. That's exactly why craftsmanship quality matters just as much to us as fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to schooling for our workers' children. The embroidery, the felt-sewing, the loving attention to detail are a time-honored craft, and we're proud that it's this very workshop that makes our books and toys.
We work closely with a team of educators and therapists: paediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators. Every activity in our books, every zipper, every Velcro activity, every flap is checked to make sure it genuinely supports development. That's the difference between us and toys that just "look educational": we build what actually works.
Yes, very deliberately. We mainly use OEKO-TEX®-certified materials and have our products safety-tested by TÜV. All small parts are securely sewn on. We know that babies put everything in their mouths and toddlers pull hard, and that's exactly what our fabric books, Calmi Cubes, felt masks, and all our other products are built to withstand.
We totally understand that question. Our products aren't disposable toys — they're handcrafted, developed with educators and therapists, and built to last for years of use. Many of our customers tell us that a single book replaces an entire toy box and accompanies their child through multiple developmental stages. Per month of use, that often works out to just a few euros — for something that stays, when so much else has long since been sorted out.
