A bright orange garbage truck, symbols for yellow bin, paper, organic and general waste, a sensory bag for searching and finding – in the Travel Buddy garbage truck, little garbage truck fans not only experience their favorite vehicle, but also learn what waste separation means. The handmade felt learning toy was developed together with Montessori educator Alicia Leyffer – compact for bag and travel, ideal from 3 years.
At the front, the sorting game awaits: Small waste symbols must be placed in the correct bin – apple peel in the organic waste, yogurt cup in the yellow bin, newspaper in the waste paper. At the back, the sensory bag is hidden: for reaching in, feeling and recognizing different textures. While sorting, matching and feeling, children practice fine motor skills, logical thinking and environmental awareness simultaneously – and soon they will transfer what they have learned into real everyday life: proudly throwing the empty yogurt cup into the correct bin at home, waiting at the window with wide eyes for the real garbage collection on Thursday morning and waving.
