What starts in the book becomes a daily routine
Toothbrushing is often the hardest moment of the day. Once your child already knows the motion from the Quiet Book — velcro open, velcro closed, cow's mouth clean — the real toothbrush becomes a familiar next step.
From countless "Are we there yet?" to: calm travels
Traveling with a child often means a lot of waiting. A Travel Buddy gives your child
varied, screen-free play – and gives you precious moments of real calm.
Step by step toward independence
Tying shoelaces takes patience – and plenty of tries. When your child practices the movements playfully in the Quiet Book, crossing, looping, and knotting become familiar step by step. A tricky task turns into a small moment of pride.
Less toy clutter on the floor. More adventure in the book.
Our learning toys bring many play ideas together in one compact Quiet Book, so creative playtime doesn't automatically mean more chaos.
Tomorrow's skills are built through today's play
Closing a zipper. Opening buttons. Tying shoelaces. The buckle on the car seat. The pincer grip needed for writing later on. These are the moments when a child says, for the first time: "I did it myself!" Our learning toys train exactly these skills — step by step, with joy instead of pressure. And one day, your child ties their own shoes.

"As a pediatric physician and mom, I love Quiet Books. Kids often have plenty of toys, but not always meaningful ones. Quiet Books are different: they support and challenge children, improving fine motor skills, logical thinking, hand-eye coordination, and attention. They also let everyday situations become playful, and support language development.

Spare Parts Service
A felt piece goes missing – the favorite figure, the carrot, the little vehicle. And suddenly, your favorite book is missing a piece. With our Spare Parts Service, you can easily reorder lost pieces – so your Quiet Book stays complete and lasts for years, instead of landing in the corner.
How a mom's moment became a brand
Behind Jolly Designs is a family with a deep passion for creativity and early childhood development. It all began when our son Nevaan was diagnosed with a speech development delay. Searching for toys that would truly support him – with his hands, his senses, without a screen – we sewed the first Quiet Book ourselves. Today, more than 60,000 families trust it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's on your mind?
Jolly Designs was founded in 2017 by Nishtha Jolly — with the vision of creating high-quality, thoughtfully designed toys that truly support children's development, instead of ending up in the trash after a short while. Today, we're one of the first and largest Quiet Book brands in Europe, with more than 60,000 happy customers and over 6,700 reviews. We believe in craftsmanship, in educational care, and in the idea that good toys don't need to be loud to make an impact.
Three things. First, the craftsmanship. Every page, every flap, every activity is hand-sewn. Second, the educational depth. We develop our products together with a team of pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators, so every activity is meaningful. Third, the longevity. Our products aren't disposable toys. They stay with children for years and are often passed down to siblings or friends.
We've manufactured our products in India since we started, in a family-run workshop that belongs to the family of our founder, Nishtha Jolly. So this isn't an anonymous supplier relationship, but a personal one: Nishtha knows the team members by name, their families, their stories. That's exactly why craftsmanship matters to us just as much as fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to education for our employees' children. The embroidery, the felt-sewing, the loving attention to detail are a time-honored craft, and we're proud that it's this very workshop that makes our books and toys.
We work closely with a team of educators and therapists: pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators. Every activity in our books, every zipper, every velcro activity, every flap is checked to make sure it genuinely supports development. That's what sets us apart from toys that just "look educational": we build what actually works.
Yes, very deliberately. We mostly use OEKO-TEX®-certified materials and have our products safety-tested by TÜV. All small parts are securely sewn in place. We know babies put everything in their mouths and toddlers pull hard, and that's exactly what our Quiet Books, Calmi Cubes, felt masks, and all our other products are built to handle.
We totally understand. Our products aren't disposable toys — they're handcrafted, developed with educators and therapists, and built for years of use. Many of our customers tell us that a single book replaces an entire toy box and stays with their child through multiple stages of development. Per month of use, that often comes out to just a few euros — for something that stays, when so much else has long been sorted out.
