Behind Jolly Designs is us, a family with a great passion for creativity and child education. It all began when our son Nevaan was diagnosed with a speech development disorder.
To support his development in the best possible way, we looked for meaningful educational toys and discovered the fascinating world of Quiet Books. These handmade books not only had a great effect on Nevaan but also captivated our daughter Naomika for hours.
Your enthusiasm inspired us, and we knew immediately: these wonderful books should reach other families too. In 2017, we took the leap and founded Jolly Designs – a passion project that started in Germany and with which we have been able to accompany more and more families ever since.
Today we are two families
It's never boring here in Oberursel: We design the products, answer your questions, and work on the next idea – a colourful mix of creative minds, family people, and team players. The sewing takes place 6,000 kilometres away, in Nishtha's family business in India. Two teams, two time zones, one common goal: toys that truly make a difference.
Nishtha
Founder & CEO
Nishtha is the founder of Jolly Designs. When her son Nevaan was diagnosed with a speech and language disorder, she searched for educational toys that would truly support him – and discovered the world of quiet books, which captivated not only him but also her daughter Naomika for hours. From this experience as a mother, she founded Jolly Designs in 2017 to provide other families with Montessori-inspired toys.
Today, she is responsible for finance and product design. In close collaboration with educational experts, she develops cloth books that playfully promote fine motor skills and concentration – all without screens.
Naman
CEO, Strategy & Internationalization
Naman is the strategic mind behind Jolly Designs. He shapes the company's strategy and drives internationalization to bring our educational toys to new markets step by step, reaching more and more families. With a keen eye for opportunities, he ensures our vision grows – beyond Germany to France.
He pushes the expansion of new markets and distribution channels with a clear view of the bigger picture, developing the structures that support our growth.

Brand Communication & Product Design
Svenja is our communication talent and inspires our business and brand partners for Jolly Designs day after day. With great passion, she nurtures existing relationships and brings new partners on board – in B2B business as well as in collaborative product development.
Together with strong brands, she develops new product ideas and brings them to market. Svenja embodies what makes Jolly Designs special: creativity, warmth, and a genuine passion for collaboration.

Personalization
Shweta is our expert for individual personalizations and adds that special something to every fabric book. With great attention to detail, she plots and embroiders your orders with names and carefully prepares them for shipping – always with her relaxed manner.
Every personalized product is delivered directly from our office and refined by hand – turning an order into a gift with meaning. Shweta embodies the care and personal touch that goes into every Jolly Designs product.
Yvonne
Influencer Marketing
Yvonne is responsible for influencer marketing at Jolly Designs and brings a keen sense of trends and reach – coupled with great organizational talent. She meticulously researches and analyzes suitable creators to build authentic collaborations and increase brand awareness.
Building genuine partnerships with creators is at the core of her work. In addition, Yvonne is our office fairy: she provides structure and plans our open house days and events. Yvonne stands for commitment, accuracy, and creativity – and brings a breath of fresh air everywhere she goes.

Vicky is the voice and heart of our customer service. With great joy, she takes care of our families' concerns and ensures that every interaction with Jolly Designs is a positive experience.

Lea
Communication Design & Digital Growth
At Jolly Designs, Lea combines creativity with a flair for digital growth. With her expertise in communication design, she works daily to develop our brand in the areas of digital growth and e-commerce, reaching families with inspiring content and a strong digital presence.
A particular focus of her work is on social media as well as the creation and optimization of product images and videos. With great attention to detail, she authentically stages our play worlds and creates content that inspires parents and makes the special features of our products tangible at first glance.
Nicole
Communication Design, Performance Marketing & Digital Growth
With her background in communication design and her work in performance marketing & digital growth, she combines creativity with data-driven marketing. At Jolly Designs, she is responsible for, among other things, managing our TikTok Shop, developing newsletter campaigns, designing Meta Ads creatives, and serving as the contact person for our UGC creators.
She particularly enjoys our video series "Nicole Unfiltered," in which she gives you honest behind-the-scenes insights and shares topics about our brand in an authentic way.

Each of our Quiet Books is lovingly handcrafted in New Delhi, where Nishtha's parents built a company for handmade products over 35 years ago. We continue this tradition, focusing on fair working conditions and respectful collaboration.
Our sewers work with dedication on each individual book, and we are proud to be able to value them so highly.

OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The Path to Your Finished Quiet Book
Creating a Quiet Book is a creative process that brings many minds and hands together. We start with a big brainstorming session, putting all ideas on the table – what can a child learn from the book, what colors and shapes appeal to them? Then the first sketches are made, soon followed by the prototype.
If everything fits, it goes to our workshop, where up to 250 small individual parts for a single book are cut and lovingly assembled. This way, each page becomes a small journey of discovery, bringing joy and inspiration to children.
